Current Issues

2020 is a year in which a lot of important topics are discussed and decisions made.   The Library encourages you to look beyond television and social media feeds for information on current issues.  Below are book lists with a handful of titles each to spark interest.   Titles are from reputable sources and are by no means exhaustive of the range of materials available.   If you have suggestions for books or topics, please share with your local library!

The Friends of the Library groups for three branch libraries are exhibiting art work by local, up-and-coming artist within their branches. These Gallery Walls offer the opportunity for the artists to place their work for public view and sale, and the Friends receive a portion of the proceeds of any sale.

 There are no current exhibits.

How Do We Raise Funds?

In additional to funds raised through annual membership dues, we also have several ways to raise funds that go to the support of the Mammoth Lakes Branch Library. These include:

  • Operate a used book store, inside the Library.

 There is a good selection of  quality used books at low prices. Open all Library hours. 

  • Hold raffles, auctions, and other fundraisers.
