Lee Vining Library is a combination county and school facility located on the north end of town on the Lee Vining High School campus. Our very brightly colored jungle mural painted on the building exterior, many green plants inside and several large stuffed jungle animals keep with the LV Tigers theme. Fast internet service is a draw for locals & tourists alike. Along with our general collection, we have a great selection of craft project books from scrapbooking to pottery making to welding. If you\'d really like to get a hands on experience after you come to the library this summer, feel free to visit our community garden out back behind our building.
The Mono County Friends of the Library is exhibiting artwork by local artists at the Lee Vining Library. This collaboration with local artists provides artists the opportunity to showcase and sell their work while supporting the Library. 30% or more of each sale is donated to the Friends of the Library group. The exhibit changes every 3 months, stop by to check out the current exhibit.
The Lee Vining Branch now has a Cricut machine available for use in its library! If you aren\'t familiar with Cricut, it\'s a portable die cut machine that cuts letters and shapes at the touch of a button. It\'s a great tool for creating greeting cards, paper crafts or scrapbooking! With Librarian supervision and a short lesson, projects can be created on Monday (2-6) and Tuesdays (2-5). Bring your own paper or buy paper from the library. We have books in our collection to help with project ideas, showing pictures along with instructions how to make layered craft items. Come and give it a try!
