Your libraries are open for 'Call Ahead for Pick Up': Click here for specific details for how the "Call Ahead" service works. Basically you can use your Mono County Library Card to go to our online catalog - in the Quick Links section to the right - to place a hold on an item, or you can contact your local library staff by phone or email during regular hours. Contact information for your location can be found in the BRANCHES menu above. Your local staff member will confirm with you by phone or email the expected date/time for you to pick up your item(s), check them out ahead of time, and arrange them for you to pick up at the library's entrance through a safe contactless handoff. When you're done with the item(s), simply return it in the library's exterior book drop to maintain the contactless handoff and we will clean and quarantine the time for 4 days before reshelving it. We will continue to waive overdue fines during this period.
Click here for a brief video tutorial for using the online catalog to search and place a hold on a title.
We are also gradually opening Library locations for limited onsite use - please contact your local branch for details. We look forward to seeing you in person again and thank you for your patience and cooperation as we carefully implement this new service. In the meantime we continue to offer a range of services under our Online Library and virtual library programs.
